Carlisle & Bray Enterprises has named Christina Walker as its Director of Human Resources.

Walker, who previously served as Vice President of Human Resources at Pepsi Cola Bottlers, said that her mission at C&B is to position the company for strategic growth within both its market and in the inland marine industry.

Specifically, Walker says that she wants to focus on the attracting and retaining skilled workers within the highly competitive industry in which the company operates.

“Carlisle & Bray is a genuine, family-oriented environment,” Walker said. “The management team and its employees are accommodating, practice great communication, and I am excited to be able to work here.”

Walker brings a valuable array of skills and relationships to her new position. While a majority of HR professionals develop an understanding of payroll, recruiting, interviewing, employee relations, benefits, and training from studying them top down, Walker said she has worked within each of these departments at different points in her career, which has resulted in a much deeper understanding of these areas than most HR directors.

“My number one goal is to make the organization and its employees successful,” Walker said. “Right now, I’m re-engineering the HR department so it will be more strategic and readily able to achieve the company’s goals.”

A native of Dayton, Ohio, Walker has a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Wright State University; a bachelor’s and master’s degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, and is currently pursuing her doctorate degree in organizational leadership.
